At BEA this weekend Kensington announced the creation of a new romance imprint, in conjunction with epublisher Samhain. The new imprint (Unnamed as of yet) will publish one to two books a month. Details are a bit sketchy and hazy right now, but the following are what is known:

1. Samhain will be responsible for the acquisition and editing of the line’s books.
2. For the first several releases, best selling titles and books by established authors will be selected for the line.
3. For the most part, full length novels will be selected.
4. Kensington will print, market and distribute the books just like their other lines.
5. Books will be released in trade and mass market paper.
6. Authors will be paid directly from Kensington.

Personally I think this is very exciting news for Samhain. You can bet I will definitely be keeping track of how this unfolds.
