African American Literary Award Show

Have you heard of it? No. Well, don’t worry this is the first time I’ve heard about it too.

What is it? The African American Literary Awards Show is an entertainment event production and marketing company with a focus on writers and authors. AALAS produces an annual Open Book Awards to recognize, honor, celebrate and promote the outstanding achievements and contributions that African-American authors and writers make to the publishing, arts and entertainment industries.  AALAS also produces a national book tour and a national literacy challenge for young people ages 9-15 years-old.

The AALAS Open Book Awards is the first of its kind.  It is the most comprehensive awards show ever to recognize, honor, celebrate and promote the outstanding achievements and contributions that authors and writers make to the publishing, arts and entertainment industries.
