Okay. So I was blog hopping the other day and saw this post up on Bettie Sharpe’s blog. Bettie is the author of Ember and Like a Thief in the Night. So I figured I’d check it out.

It was for a contest - 400 words on WANT on Lorelie’s Blog. Lorelie is the author of Tarnished Angel.

The prompt: I wanna see a girl tell a guy what she wants. Sexy, zany, crazy, whatever. I wanna see her pipe up and ask for her heart’s desire.

The word count: 400.

So I worked up a piece, sent it to a friend /beta reader who liked it but said it could be better. So we discussed it - which means I rambled, um, brainstormed ideas until one gelled. And I entered (always a scary process). Today the finalist were announced and mine is one of them.
