Can’t Get Enough – Part 3

I hope you enjoy part 3 of Michael’s and Faith’s adventures in Can’t Get Enough. In case you missed it, Part 1|Part 2.

Can’t Get Enough – Contemporary, Erotic Romance

Michael laughed.

Faith frowned, crossed her arms in front of her chest. “Something funny?”

“No.” he continued to laugh. “Do you believe in fate?”

Her brows furrowed and she took a step away from him.

Maybe he was crazy after all.

“I just took my car in today.”

“I thought you said you drove.”

“I did. But I also have a classic 1958 Ford Fairlane.”

“You’re the ’58 Fairlane?”

He nodded.

She started to laugh. “You are not the guy I pictured owning that car.”

“Now I’m curious. Who did you picture?”

“An older man, much much older.”

“It’s sort of a family car. My grandfather to my dad to my brother who didn’t take care of it as he should have so it’s mine now. That’s why I brought it too you. I heard your shop is one of the best with cars and a genius with classics.” He paused, “I also have a 1967 Mercedes Benz 250-SL and a 1957 Thunderbird I’m looking to buy and restore.”

“If you want some help in restoring them I’d love to offer my services.”

“Well it’s nice to meet the owner. Tony said you were a little spitfire. I can see why he said that now.”

She smirked, “Tony sometimes has issues dealing with a female boss. I keep him around cause he’s one of the best. Second only to me.” She took a step closer, head tilted back she stared up into his eyes, her hand on his chest, “Why don’t we meet for dinner tomorrow and discuss this more?”

“You read my mind. How about that drink now? I can take you home.”

She hesitated until Crystal’s words from earlier came back to her. “Why not?”

Can’t Get Enough - Contemporary, Interracial, Erotic Romance

“I didn’t know if you were driving or not and figured a bottle of water was the safest choice.”

“Thanks. But a beer would have been okay.” Faith suddenly became aware of their hands touching and pulled back,  clasping the bottle tightly in an attempt to hide her desperately in need of a manicure hands.

“So I already know your best friend talked you into this. What else should I know about you?”

She shook her head, wondering how much she should say. What do you tell a guy on a pseudo first date?

“I haven’t had sex in three years. By choice. I’m a tomboy. I have a tendency to talk to myself and answer myself. And sometimes I talk aloud when I really mean to say it to myself.”

“Do you realize you just said that out loud?”

“Shit. Sorry. I have a tendency to do that. Sorry.” She took a long drink of the water. “How about that beer?”

“Are you driving?”

“No.” She paused, “On second thought, if I know Crystal, she probably found a decent Mr. Right Now or Mr. For the Night. So I better stick to water.”

At that moment, Crystal came over with a tall, dreadlocked man with a goatee. “I’m going to take Nate home.” She whispered, “Can you find a ride?”

“Excuse us for a second.” Faith stood, grabbed Crystal’s arm and dragged her a few feet away. “What happened to we come together we leave together? Do I need to remind you that this was your idea?”

“What? He’s hot. And unlike you, I’m not celibate. I like sex.”

“I like sex too.” She said a bit too loudly. Blowing out a breath, “Fine. Do what you want. I’ll catch a cab home.”

“He looks a little square but maybe he’s good in bed.” Crystal said. “Look just try to have some fun.”

“And you be careful. He may be a dark chocolate, less muscled version of  The Rock. But he could still be a perv. Call me when you get in. And call me if you go to his place. Or at least text me with his address so I’ll know where to send the police. I mean it Crystal. If I don’t hear from you by this time tomorrow. I’m sending your brothers after him.” She paused, “Better yet.” She pulled her phone from it’s case and went back over to where the guys were talking. “Say cheese, Nate.” She snapped his pic with her camera phone. “Have fun.”

“Come on Nate. I wanna show you that tongue trick I was talking about.” He just smiled, grabbed her hand and led her away from them.

Michael waited for her to be seated before he sat down again, “It’s good how you look after you friend.”

“Sometimes she can be her own worst enemy.”

“I can give you a ride home if you’d like. I promise I’m not a pervert.”

“I think most perverts would say that. And I appreciate the offer but I’ll take a cab. It’ll be kinda hypocritical if I didn’t.”

“What if I want to see you again?”

She pulled a business card out of her back pocket and got a pen from the side table where brochures for the speed dating service was sitting. After quickly scribbling her cell phone number on the back, she handed him the card. “I’m at the number on the front most of the time. But if I’m not there. That’s the next best thing.”

Faith watched for his reaction while she called for a cab.

He’s gonna be just like the other guys. Drop the card and run when he sees what I do.

He turned the card over so he could read the front.

Can’t Get Enough - Contemporary, Interracial, Erotic Romance

Excerpt:

This was a stupid idea.

She glanced around the converted library. Part of her would rather explore the old stacks instead of sitting through a speed dating session.

I should have never let Crystal talk me into this.

The host cleared her throat. “Now for the rules. Women stay seated. Men rotate to the left. You have a total of five minutes. Then you move on. You will here this sound,” she shook a cowbell, “when it is time to move on. If you find a possible match, you can exchange numbers and move to the lounge area to talk further. Now ladies, be seated.” She waited for all the women to find a seat before clanging the cowbell, “Start dating.”

Faith Hardison plastered a fake smile on her face and resisted the urge to check her cell phone.

Leaning back in her seat, “So what did you say you did again?”

“I’m a clown. I have a children’s party entertainment business.”

“Sounds interesting. Tell me more about….” At that moment the bell sounded, “Sorry time’s up.”

“I was hoping we could exchange numbers.”

Faith smiled, “Sorry. I’m afraid of clowns.”

The next guy sat down and Faith immediately reached for her purse, “Want a piece of gum? All this talking has made my mouth dry.”

“No thank you. The other lady said the same thing.”

“So why did you decide to try speed dating?”

Bad breath guy leaned forward, his arm rested on the table. “I figured it was the best way to meet a bunch of women at one time with little effort. Wanna exchange numbers?”

“No thanks. I’m really just here to support my friend.”

By time the fifth guy had sat down, Faith was tired of the endless stream of not right for her guys.

“Let me guess. You’re divorced. Your ex is a bitch. And you’re looking for a sugar mama like in the Beyonce song.”

The man sitting in front of her let out a deep, rich laugh. “Not quite.” He held out his hand to her, “I’m Michael Samuel.” He smiled, “I see you’ve had the same luck I have. Do you know there is a lady down there whose opening line is she’s double-jointed?”

Faith laughed, “I’m Faith. Sorry. This has been an interesting evening to say the least. I never realized how many,” she paused, “unique people were looking for a little love or romance.”

“I understand. No offense but this is not my idea of fun. I’d much rather be at home, in the kitchen or at a sports bar.”

“None taken. So tell me Michael, what brings you to speed dating night? Looking for love? Romance? The one? A one night stand?”

“None of the above. The truth?”

She nodded.

“My best friend roped me into this. He didn’t want to come alone. And I, like an idiot, agreed on my one night off.”

“Sounds like we have similar best friends.” She leaned forward. “I have an idea.” Faith glanced around and then lowered her voice. “Since you don’t want to be here and neither do I. We pretend to exchange numbers and go over to the lounge area to talk.”

He smiled again, showing off deep dimples, “I wish I had sat here first. It would have saved me from the lady who wanted to know what my portfolio looked like.”

She returned his smile just as the bell rang.

Michael stood, holding out a hand to her. She placed her hand in his, ignoring the way her stomach began to flutter.

Butterflies mean nothing. Plenty of men can make your stomach quiver and knees weak. It could be lack of food too.

Sweet Sin – Contemporary, Multicultural, Erotic Romance

Excerpt:

Jordana Storm had just made it inside her condo when her cell phone rang.  With a sigh, she let it ring again before looking at the display – Sweet Treats & Sinful Morsels.  Her sister, putting on a false smile, she answered.  “Hi Madelyne.  What’s up?”

“I need your help.”  Madelyne spoke in a rush.

“What happened?”  Jordana sank into her favorite overstuffed chair with a sigh.

“Can you come help at the restaurant?  The late shift waitress called off.”  She paused, “Please.  I’ll make it up to you.”

“Aw come on Maddie.  I’m tired.  It was a hard flight.”  And I ran into my ex whatever she added silently.  “I don’t feel like it.”

“How about for a nice decadent piece of chocolate cake? Or the homemade pralaines?”

Jordana’s stomach growled reminding her she hadn’t eaten much that afternoon.

“Please.  I’m begging here.  I’m on my knees.  Of course you can’t see that, but I am.  Please Jordana.  Pretty please.  I need you and we have an almost full house tonight.”

“All right.  All right.  Get up.  I’ll be there in an half an hour.  I want to take a quick shower and change first.”

“Okay.  Hurry.”  Madelyne hesitated a moment, “You sure you’re okay?”

“Yes.  I’ll be even better if you let me get in the shower so I can get down there.”  Jordana laughed.

“Okay.  Well remember what momma always says.”

“I know.  Chocolate solves everything.”  She hung up, closing her eyes.  The problem is that chocolate reminded her of Jerome.

Instantly she was taken back to a night of sticky delight and sweet sex with Jerome.

“Ugh.  No.  No.  No.”  She hurried to the shower, undressing as she went.  She turned the shower on full blast.  Stepping inside the stall she hoped the hot water would wash the images away in her head.

To Trap A Demon – Dark Urban Fantasy, Multicultural

Excerpt:

“Why don’t we go back to my place? Relax, open a bottle of wine and get to know each other better.” Mahlon leaned in closer to his dance partner, “It’s so difficult to get to know people in clubs.” His allure surrounded her, weakened her defenses. His hand found her hip, pulling her into him. The opposite hand travelled up her bare arm, sending small electric pulses through her body, igniting her pleasure impulses. “I would like for us to enjoy each other.” He trailed a finger up her neck. His fingers tickled her hairline brushing against the full, freeform kinky fro framing Jasmine’s brown-sugar face.

“I have to work in the morning.”

Mahlon spun her out then pulled her closer to him again, holding her body tight against his as they swayed to the music.

“You don’t have to, but if you do stay, my assistant will buy you whatever you need.” He touched the nape of her neck, her body heat rose a few degrees and her breathing hitched.

“Tempting but…”   She stepped back so their bodies wouldn’t be so close.  She shook her head, “I’ve never done this before. I just came in to relax, have a drink and unwind.”

“I don’t want to pressure you. It’s just…” He briefly closed his eyes; his mind scanned her body, sensed her arousal, “It’s completely up to you. We don’t have to do anything more than talk. Though I’m not going to lie, I’m not going to turn down sex either.” He bent his head closer to her ear, spoke in a low tone, “But I really want to get to know you without the audience, someplace we can relax and be ourselves.”

“Hmm.” She took in a breath, leaned into him until her head rested on his chest.

He breathed out slowly emitting a musky aroma of sex, power and danger most humans mistook for a rich exotic cologne.

“You smell delectable, almost good enough to eat.”

A wide smile played across his lips, “Now you’re teasing.”

She laughed and Mahlon struggled with remembering her name.

Jessica…Juanita… Jasmine… like the flower

“Jasmine.” He spoke her name, soft and slow, “Delicate as the flower, sweet yet seductive.” He continued, his tone low, “I have a car outside. If it’ll make you more comfortable, I can send someone to retrieve your car. Or you can drive.”

She nodded and though it may have been in time to the music and the mix of alcohol and his allure, Mahlon took it as an affirmative.

To Trap A Demon -  Dark Urban Fantasy, Multicultural, Erotic

Excerpt:

From a corner booth, hidden in darkness, he sat watching her.

Mahlon Graye’s next victim.

She was the one. Seated at the end of the bar, nursing a margarita on the rocks. Tall, long legs and skin the color of milk chocolate.  She hadn’t been his first choice but she would definitely do for the night.

With a dismissive look, he glanced towards what had been his first choice, but she had managed to fool him. Her naïveté shined through her aura more than her artificial body.

After he’d touched her, an instantaneous urge for punishment collided with the need for anonymity. To reveal himself would draw the authorities, those who dared to attempt to regulate magic on this plane. He’d almost shifted to his demon form out of anger at the sour smell of her arousal. A stench so acerbic, a mix of old rotting meat and garbage left in the blazing heat of day, could only mean one thing – she was diseased. Desire for pain and pleasure mixed in a sensual elixir, tempted his baser needs and flirted with his demon nature. His first instinct had been to rip her heart out. His second was to carry her down to the dregs of hell to have her sexed to death. Some demons were less particular than he was about the health of their partners. Instead, he left her to be wooed by the mortal patrons of the bar.

Instinct guided him. His new prey sat alone, body swaying to rhythmic tones and nursing another drink. He watched her roll her hips to the beat, eyes closed. A scan of her energy confirmed his suspicions. She imagined she was riding an experienced lover, taking her to multiple levels of pleasure.

A brief smile curled his lips and his eyes darkened. Her body language plus numerous empty margarita glasses showed she was open to a one-night stand. An unfulfilled woman would be the perfect vessel for his sexual craving. Ripe with desire and unmet needs, the woman enabled Mahlon to feed her mind more seductive images. She would be his tonight.

He approached her, rested his hand on her arm, “I’m sorry to disturb you. But I’ve been watching you all night. Can I buy you a drink?”

“No thank you.” She angled her body away from his, bringing her arms in closer to her body. Her brows furrowed slightly.

Her body language contrasted in his mind’s eyes with the passionate pinks, reds and purples in her aura. An edge of grey, her uncertainty, framed the otherwise intimate colors, growing fuzzier when he smiled.

“Well a dance then…”

She nodded, taking his hand, “Jasmine.”

Mahlon didn’t offer his name. He concentrated on her desire and sending diminutive orgasmic sensations through her nerves. She responded by pressing her body into him and grinding her hips against his groin.

“Such a beautiful woman should not be in a club alone. Some men don’t have honorable intentions.”

She laughed, “You must not be from around here. I can take care of myself.”

“But if you’re too inebriated to…” He paused for effect, appearing to think about his words. “You do not need a stranger hovering. I just hate to see a young woman taken advantage of.” He spun her out and when she returned she placed her hand on his chest.

“Your concern is admirable.” Jasmine licked her lips. She wiggled her body downward until her face was at crotch level, her hands on his hips. With her gaze raised, looking him in the eyes, “You’re cute. I think it’s sexy that you care.”

“I guess my momma raised me right then.” He let out a deep chuckle.

“Ssh.” She shimmied her way back up his body and pressed her finger to his lips, “Quit while you’re ahead.”

Right where I want her.

He could use a consort for gratification if pain or pleasure mattered. Emotions trumped by a prerequisite yearning, a need spawned by his nature.  Satisfaction of an intense craving only satiated by the human body, human flesh against demon flesh. It wasn’t the act but the result. Emptying his seed, spurred by the power of his mate’s arousal increased his power allowing him to remain on earth. Though it was a necessity, it could still be pleasurable. From his viewpoint, humans rarely gave into the more imaginative pleasures of the flesh. When they allowed themselves that brief moment of freedom, he could drink in the elation and gain power. If unsuccessful tonight, he’d be forced to give into his malevolent desires. Same sex union was appealing for gratification but didn’t hold the same power base. And with a deadline approaching, he needed to remain on Earth.

Second Chances - Coming Sept 18th from Cobblestone Press

Excerpt:

Elaina waited in her car for Sebastian to pull in beside her.  She was glad she’d already straightened up her apartment, mostly, except for a few dishes in the sink. She had a rule against dating or being with brothers, but Sebastian Ramos was someone who made her want to forget all her rules.

Hell, she was wet already and all he’d done so far was touch her thigh. She wondered if he’d noticed her intake of breath earlier. Seeing him turn into the parking lot, she got out her car and was lounging against the hood as he pulled up on the opposite side and got out of the car.

“You didn’t get lost.” A mischievous smile crossed her lips.

“I don’t intend to get lost again. I know my way around pretty easily.” He stepped closer, pinning her between the car and his body.  He leaned closer as if to kiss her but pulled back before their lips met. “As you said on the porch, we’re older and hopefully wiser. And I don’t want to nor do I have time to play games.” His lips came down on hers in an intoxicating kiss that lingered on her mouth. “I know what I want, Elaina,” he breathed into her ear.

“What?” she murmured, eyes half closed, hand pressed on his chest.

She felt him touch her face but kept her eyes closed. She knew he wanted her to look at him, knew he was waiting until she focused her attention back on him. “You,” he said, his voice gentle but husky.

He touched her bottom lip with his tongue, and appeared to fight for control when she darted her tongue out to lick it. She let out a quiet moan as he traced a wet path along her lower lip, then down her chin to her chest. She arched into his touch when he palmed her breast. She watched as he struggled to speak again,  opening then closing his mouth. Tenderly holding her face, Sebastian captured her mouth with his, feeding hungrily as he drank in her sweetness.

She pulled back, her breathing quick and shallow. She took his hand in hers. “Let’s take this inside.”

It was probably her imagination but the elevator ride to the ninth floor seemed to be taking longer than usual.  A smile spread across her lips as lustful illustrations danced through her mind of her and Sebastian in a heated embrace, clothes strewn about as they fucked in the elevator.

Absently, she fingered one nipple as the image of Sebastian, sweat glistening down his chest, pants and boxers at his ankles as he sexed her from behind entered her mind. Another image flashed into her imagination—her denim skirt pushed up, her shirt opened fully, exposing her breasts and mashing them against the cool blue metal walls, and her panties pooled down by her left leg. He thrust up and inside her, repeatedly.  Erotic growls of passion filled the car, his breath heavy in her ear.

An audible moan escaped her, and her pussy moistened more as her mind conjured up an erotic, Technicolor mini-movie complete with tingling anticipation and heated fervor.

“What are you thinking about?” He pulled her body closer to his so she could feel his hard-on.

Elaina swallowed thickly, an attempt to quench her suddenly dry throat. “You deep inside me.”
